Renewable energy
Definition
- Renewable Energy refers to energy derived from natural resources that are replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, water (hydropower), geothermal heat, and biomass. These sources produce energy with minimal environmental impact and generate little to no greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional fossil fuels. The use of renewable energy is essential for reducing dependence on finite resources and mitigating climate change as part of a sustainable energy transition.
